In 1992, Denis and Sarah decided to follow their dream and moved to the south of France. They bought a nineteenth-century maison de maître in a very pretty village in the Languedoc region of France and restored it to create Les Mimosas, an elegant country guesthouse serving good, honest cuisine and good regional wines.

The Les Mimosas Cookbook is inspired by Denis and Sarah’s love of French food and wine and the French way of life, collects together recipes cooked for their guests over many years. Arranged by season, they feature the best, fresh local produce cooked simply.

Includes over 150 wonderful recipes with delightful anecdotal introductions, and illustrated with Denis’ evocative colour photographs of ingredients, finished dishes and the countryside around Les Mimosas, this book captures the essence of French country cuisine. Published by Godwit (Random House) 1997. ISBN 1-86962-017-8
